These shorts had more mature humour than "The Herbs", as they were shown immediately before the 6 o'clock news, and needed to appeal to adults and older children rather than the preschoolers the original series was aimed at.

This brings a lump to my throat, I was only about 4 years old I think when I watched this on B/W TV, before I was frog marched to play school which I hated. Such innocent days, I expect this stuff would be banned now due to Woke & gay pride seemingly running the country and deciding what we can and cant watch. 😢
